Childhood friends and high school sweethearts, Ashley and Chad’s love story captured our hearts from our initial meetings with Ashley. Ashley not only wanted to create a wedding special for herself and fiance Chad Nelson, but also a wedding for family and friends to feel celebrated and the significance those around have had in the couple’s lives.
“Ashley is full of life, always wanting those around her to feel special,” Nardos says.
For Ashley’s wedding, Nardos Imam designed a number of gowns for Ashley’s special day– including a rehearsal dinner and bridal brunch dress for Ashley, gowns for the mother of the bride, grandmother and two aunts, bridesmaids’s gowns and two dresses for Ashley’s flower girls.
Both wedding and reception were held at the bride’s home in Dallas. Upon arrival, guests were welcomed by a beautiful floral entry designed by Karen Tran. The effect of her incredible floral design was nothing short of breathtaking. Chandeliers hung from trees while guests enjoyed a seated dinner outside the family home. Seventy pounds of Swarovski crystals adorned Ashley’s cake, designed by Bronwen Weber of Frosted Art Bakery & Studio in Dallas, Texas. Seven hundred edible flowers covered the bottom tier alone.
A special thanks to Mayra of My Fabulous Faces and Sonia Trevino– the two completed Ashley’s bridal look with hair and makeup.
Photographer Luke Edmonson’s photo entitled “Grand Staircase” was one of four images that submitted as part of a print case that earned him the AIPP International Photographer of the Year. Congratulations Luke!
Ashley was so sweet to invite us to her lovely wedding. We thought we may share a few photos we have of the event as well!
